We have certainly earned our share of awards as one of the nations largest window film dealers for the last several years and as the Southeast Architectural Dealer of the Year from Eastman Performance Films.
Having earned the selection as the 2020 National Dealer of the Year is our proudest achievement to date!
2020 was not your typical year by any standard of measurement.
It took off with the usual hopes, plans and challenges.
Our team attended the 2020 annual dealer meeting held in Tucson in February and the COVID 19 fears were already on every attendee’s radar.
It didn’t take very long after that for the entire world to come to a seemingly halt as consumers, manufacturers and small businesses throughout the country faced lockdowns and genuine fear.
Navigating through this unprecedented disaster was our primary challenge.
No one had foreseen the impact of this pandemic and anyone who acts like they had an effective strategy is kidding you and themselves.
As a small family-owned business, we held our selling and installation teams together hoping that any reduction in businesses could be absorbed if we cut costs and overhead, applied for PPP support and implemented COVID health and safety upgrades for our commercial flat glass and local car tinting shop.
We focused on clients that were designated as essential businesses throughout the spring and summer of 2020 which provided a strong counter to reduced interest by businesses that were experiencing shutdowns like restaurants and tourism of all types.
Our key supplier Eastman Performance Films was able to maintain the flow of films required by our shrinking customer base. This ability to maintain supply and meet demand was essential to our 2020 success.
We have always maintained a tight overhead and management structure in our tactical and strategic planning. Perhaps it’s an intense fear of failure that drives our operation or perhaps the reality of this competitive business we have chosen to participate in.
This confined structure paid dividends throughout the 2020 sales cycle since we were able to rely on our management team without having to lay off critical team members.
Adam Feldman essentially ran the company throughout the year and is directly responsible for the successes we have now been recognized for by the Eastman management team.
Speaking of Eastman, we were notified of winning this prestigious award back in May of 2021.
The delay in announcing the awardees was due to the Eastman objective of personally visiting all of the regional award winners to show their respect and appreciation for their accomplishments.
We were asked to keep our award confidential until all the winners were notified and announced in Window Film Magazine (which of course we agreed to.)
We were visited in May by the Eastman management team at our Lutz location in a surprise visit accompanied by a marching band.
This was a joyful experience that our team deeply appreciated and that was followed with an award presenting dinner for our entire Advanced Film Solutions team of employees and family.
No one knows the future but for one shining moment Advanced Film Solutions is at the paramount of our reputation and status among the finest window film dealers in the USA.
We are proud of this achievement and honored to join the previous National Dealer of the Year Award winners of the past.
