Most of these municipalities have adopted a beachfront lighting ordinance under Fla. Stat. § 161.163 and FWC Model Ordinance Ch. 62B-55 – the exceptions are marked. If your glass is visible from the beach, film is the fastest way to comply.
Pinellas County
Pinellas County has no countywide ordinance — your city’s code is the one that governs.
Manatee County
All three Anna Maria Island cities regulate beachfront glass independently.
Pasco County
No Pasco municipality currently appears on FWC’s adopted-ordinance list. We install here for owners and HOAs who want turtle-friendly glazing anyway — or who expect adoption to come.
Hillsborough County
No Hillsborough municipality currently appears on FWC’s adopted-ordinance list. We install here for owners and HOAs who want turtle-friendly glazing anyway — or who expect adoption to come.
Sarasota County
Longboat Key straddles two counties; FWC files its ordinance under Sarasota.
